Healing Farms

Healing Farms is another cutting edge project through Fan Macho'cho funded by the Administration for Native Americans of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service. This is an agriculture project emphasizing subsistence organic farming and provides social and economic development to youth 16-21.  The goal of the project is to empower youth so they may become socially and economically independent as adults.  The project teaches skills in agriculture, entrepreneurial, capacity building and helps perpetrate the Chamorro culture through the involvement of elders in the community. In addition the project provides a place for those on suspension or otherwise unemployed and gives the participants and opportunity to earn wages.
