Parent Support Group

Type:     Open, Instructional

Ages:     18 and over

Length:   1.5 hours/10-week cycle

Location:  Wednesday 6:00-7:30 - Sanctuary, Incoporated

This support focuses on the issues of parenting.  This group provides an opportunity for parents/guardians to discuss the trials, tribulations and frustrations that they face caring for their children.  The group allows participants to receive, as well as give support to each other concerning their respective situations.  The facilitator uses the group to provide guidance on appropriate ways to deal with issues in a non-violent proactive manner.  The group encourages interaction and promotes empowerment.
